项目摘要

2023年1月にかねてから準備していた学術書（『異国情緒としての堀口大學-翻訳と詩歌に現れる異国性の行方』）を無事に出版することができた。本書は西洋の仲介者としての役割を超えて、より深く堀口の大正・昭和期の創作活動を学術的に検証しようと試みたものである。本書の全体を通して、これまで別々に語られることが多かった堀口の創作活動と翻訳活動の相関関係に目を配りながら、堀口の詩歌や随筆が翻訳に与えた影響（文体、繰り返し用いられる単語、テーマ性など）を明らかにした。また本書では、詩誌『パンテオン』・『オルフェオン』におけるフランス近代詩の紹介者としての堀口の役割の変化について分析を行った。それによって、本研究課題で主に取り上げている『詩と詩論』へとつながる、日本におけるフランス近代詩の受容のあり方について整理を行うことができた。そして2023年3月にはフランス・ストラスブール大学にて講演「Poesie et autres formes artistiques - de la poesie japonaise moderne a Saihate Tahi（詩と芸術：日本近代詩から最果タヒまで）」を行った。当初は現地に赴いて講演を行う予定であったが、ストライキのために急遽オンラインで行うこととなった。日本近代詩におけるフランス近代詩の影響を受けた実験的な試みから、現代詩（最果タヒ）までの流れについて論じたものである。散文詩とシネポエムについても取り上げ、現地の研究者と活発な議論が交わされた。今後も日仏モダニズム詩の実験的手法について比較考察を深めていきたい。
