2022年度は、専門家からの意見聴取や文献渉猟、関係者へのインタビューを計画していた。専門家への聴取は未実施ではあるが、関係者へのインタビューや文献渉猟に関しては予定通り実施できた。特に、継承ポルトガル語教師自らの「移民子弟としての日本語・日本文化継承」の経験と、継承ポルトガル語教育への、それらの応用や影響については、複数の聴取を実施することができた。日本語を継承した経験を下敷きに、継承ポルトガル語の教材作りに工夫を施している事例もあった。ただ、このような事例は稀で、多くの場合、教育内容への具体的な応用というよりは、日本語や日本文化の継承が、教師としての姿勢や信念を形作る一助となっていることが明らかとなった。研究成果については、在日ブラジル人を対象とした継承ポルトガル語をテーマとしたシンポジウムや、ブラジルで実施された国際セミナーで発信した。前者では、継承ポルトガル語教育が日本社会に与えるポジティブな影響（継承語の現代的価値）を、当事者であるブラジル人住民に訴える機会となった。後者では、教師たちの多くが日系人であることや日本語を継承している経験が、日本の継承ポルトガル語教育に少なからぬ影響を与えていることを明らかにし（継承語の普遍的意義）、日本の継承ポルトガル語教育の独自性をブラジルの言語教育研究者に発信することができた。さらに、科研費の研究成果公開促進費（学術図書）の助成により2023年度に刊行する予定である『継承ポルトガル語の世界：地域とつながり異文化間を生きる力を育む』（ナカニシヤ出版）においても、その一部を公開する。
