日本特殊教育学会60回大会において、自主企画シンポジウム「遠隔支援技術を用いた特別支援教育巡回相談の展開①」を行い、4つの領域（幼児教育・小学校・通級指導教室・高等学校）における実践と、各フィールドにおける研究受け入れにあたっての懸念点や考慮すべき課題などの発表を行なった。大橋は遠隔支援技術を用いた巡回相談について、本邦における研究や実践を概観し、直接支援としてのカウンセリングや学生相談におけるガイドラインや医療機関におけるガイドラインなどを紹介した。また遠隔支援技術を用いた巡回相談の課題として、個人情報保護に関わる懸念点などを紹介した。榎本は、幼児教育における遠隔巡回相談の実践を紹介し、公立園に比べ私立園では遠隔支援技術についての抵抗感は低いことや保護者などとの相談についても、事前の対面での相談を実施し、相談の方向性や意義などを共有することを課題として提示した。小川は小規模自治体における遠隔支援技術を用いた巡回相談の導入過程について発表し、学校と行政との間で巡回相談の意義や位置付けの齟齬の問題などを紹介した。遠藤は、通級指導教室におけるスーパーヴィジョンの不足やスタッフトレーニングとしての巡回相談のあり方から、遠隔支援技術を用いた巡回相談のあり方を示し、その課題を紹介した。矢野は、高等学校を対象とした巡回相談支援における遠隔支援技術の利用について、対面型の巡回相談との併用を行い、その手続きや意義について紹介した。
