当該年度の研究活動は、初期の段階で、数学者・遠山啓の所論について検討した。従来、戦後教育史のなかでは、1970年代以降の学校批判言説が「教師バッシング」として一律に理解されていたが、本研究によって、その評価が一面的であるということを示した。遠山の学校批判言説は、教育界に対する内在的批判であり、各種の論者、メディア（媒体）によって言説の内容に差異があるということを示した。また、当初の研究計画にはなかったが、田野大輔氏の著作、『ファシズムの教室』に関する書評を執筆する機会を得た。そこで、この機会に、近代国家や近代教育の陥穽、ファシズムの台頭、ナチス・ドイツの台頭に関する所感を筆者の胸を借りて執筆することができた。本研究は、戦後教育界のオルタナティブ教育に関するものであるが、「なぜ、オルタナティブ教育なのか」、「なぜ、公教育に注目するのか」という根源的な問いの背景には、かつてのドイツの悲劇を忌避するために、「大衆」ではなく、「市民」を育成する必要があるという申請者の問題関心がある。結果的にではあるが、根源的な「市民」に関する教育観を当該の書評のなかで触れることができた。当該年度では、最後に、科学史学者・板倉聖宣と、彼の提唱した仮説実験授業について検討を行った。板倉の科学教育論は、次のような論点を提供するものである。①科学教育のなかで、どのように戦後民主主義（デモクラシー）を育成／実現しようとしていたのか。②科学教育のなかで、どのように能力主義批判を実現しようとしていたのか。③既存の民間教育研究団体や教育運動のなかで創出された理科教育論と、仮説実験授業の差異（特質）はどのようなものなのか。当該年度では、草稿として、②③についてまとめることができた。今後、適切な学会で研究成果を報告し、論文投稿を行いたい。
