项目摘要

スズキヘキの書簡類と制作した童謡作品のデータ化に取り組んだ。手紙類はデータ化の前に内容を解読する作業を並行して行ったため、予想以上に時間を要した。また、100年ほど前の手紙類なので、状態の悪い手紙が多く、解読作業とデータ化作業には困難が伴った。さらに、文字のくせが個々人ごとにあり、その解読にも苦労を要している。開閉と取り扱いが難しい手紙類のデータ化は、今年度は試しにデータ化したため、本格的な作業は次年度まで持ち越されている。手紙と併せて手帳類のデータ化も一部進めた。ただし、こちらも状態が悪くなった手帳の扱いに慎重を期さなければならず、この点でも作業の進行は予定より遅れ気味である。ただし、これらの作業の過程で、宮沢賢治がヘキ宛てに出した手紙を発見することができた。この手紙は、全集にも未収録の新発見手紙で、手紙の内容について宮沢賢治学会イーハ宮沢賢治学会イーハトーブセンター会報66号で報告した。さらに賢治の手紙が発見されたことについて河北新報で報道された。手紙の内容に関する詳細な分析と考察は、宮沢賢治学会紀要に投稿中である。新発見手紙は賢治研究の進展に大きく寄与するものであり、今回の科研費による研究の大きな成果と評価することができる。今年度は、引き続きヘキの手紙のデータ化を進め、今年度中に手紙類のデータ化を完了させたい。そのうえで、手紙から明らかになるヘキの交友の実際について分析と考察を加え、論文として成果を報告する予定である。
