2022年度には，嗅覚感度と精神疾患との関係についての総説論文を執筆し，投稿を行なった。嗅覚感度は，単純な感度，二つの匂いの弁別，匂いがなんであるかの同定という3つの段階に分けられる。感度，弁別，同定それぞれと，統合失調症，うつ病，双極性障害との関連についてレビューを行い，結果をまとめたものである。感度は主にうつ病と，弁別は統合失調症と，同定は統合失調症および双極性障害との関連が強いようである。同時に，嗅覚感度を含めた多様な変数を含む既存のコホート（東京ティーンコホート）データの分析を行なった。手始めとして，精神症状との関連について分析を進めている。分析については現在統計の専門家と相談しながら進めているところである。また，大学生サンプルを対象に，嗅覚感度の個人差を測定し，社会的認知や社会的ネットワークの大きさにかかわる個人差との関係を調べるため，予備的な調査を行うとともに，倫理申請を行い，認定された。また，参加者を募る大学も2校開拓し，1校は交渉中である。したがって，2023年度にはすぐに調査が開始できる予定になっている。また，Covid-19罹患患者のうち，Long-Covidを抱えている人を対象に嗅覚感度の測定および社会的認知との関係を調べるため，疲労感の強いLong-covidの人たちでも最小限の負担で自宅から参加できるよう，システムを構築中である。なお，参加者のプライバシーを最大限に守るため，システム上での個人情報保護には最大の配慮をしている。
