【具体的内容】「Covid-19（新型コロナウィルス感染症）の世界的拡大に伴い東アジア人系住民に対する差別やヘイトクライムが社会問題となる中で、米国在住邦人が体験した精神的苦悩の種類を明らかにする」ことを目的とした研究1の初年度として、（1）国内外の文献を収集してそのレビューを行い、国際学会でこうした問題について議論することを通して、研究1の質問内容の選定、（2）甲南大学におけるヒトを対象とした研究審査申請、（3）研究協力者への依頼準備書類を作成した。【意義】このテーマは、個別に研究されてきた問題を複合的に含んでいる。これまでの文献研究を通して、それは、a. 人種差別やヘイトクライムに曝されることのトラウマ、b. 移民や海外移住にまつわる心理的苦悩、c. 社会的トラウマ（自然災害や戦争、テロなどに社会全体に影響を及ぼす出来事をきっかけに広がるトラウマ）における人の社会的分断の苦悩、が複合的に影響していることが仮定されていたが、さらなる文献研究と国際学会での議論によって、ここにさらにd.トラウマに関連する個人史の要素を考える必要があることが分かった。【重要性等】今回の手続きは、インタビューを行う上で欠かせない手続きであり、また新たに得られた仮説は、そのデータの分析を行っていく上で基礎となるものである。
