The FACS facility operated jointly by the ZMBH and BZH has become an important facility for many groups of the SFB. Excellent accessibility and reliability is based on the expert skills of our operator, Dipl.-Ing. Julia Lenz. She provides cell sorting using a cutting-edge FACSAria cell sorter (equipped with three laser lines for excitation and eight photomultipliers for detection). Groups of the SFB access the facility for the isolation of clonal cell lines, for sophisticated cell cycle analyses, or expression cloning projects.
