项目摘要

本研究の目的は、内戦後スリランカにおけるムスリムを取り巻く政治・社会的状況を踏まえつつ、内戦により強制移動を経験したムスリムの人々がいかにして新たな地で安心して暮らすことのできる場を構築しているのかを、女性を取り巻くつながりに着目して明らかにすることである。2021年度は新型コロナウイルスの影響により当初予定していたフィールド調査を延期し、スリランカのムスリムを取り巻く政治・社会的状況に関する文献調査と研究成果発表を中心に研究を実施した。スリランカでは、26年間にわたる内戦とその後の復興・和解プロセスの間に民族間の溝がより深まったことが指摘されている。特にムスリムを狙った攻撃が増加しており、グローバルなイスラモフォビアの潮流を利用したシンハラ仏教ナショナリストによる反ムスリム運動が重要な問題となっている。他方で、内戦による民族の分極化を背景としたムスリムの間でのグローバルなイスラーム共同体への志向の高まりや、ムスリムコミュニティ内での分極化も指摘されている。文献調査からこうした民族間・民族内関係やスリランカでのイスラーム復興の展開など、ムスリムを取り巻く状況に関する整理を行った。また、研究成果をもとに日本文化人類学会近畿地区研究懇談会修士・博士論文発表会、日本文化人類学会第56回研究大会、中東★イスラーム教育セミナーにて発表を行った。研究発表の場では、他の研究者から今後の研究に向けた重要なコメントを頂いた。学会誌等への発表については、フィールド調査での経験をもとに『アジア・アフリカ地域研究』に「＜フィールドワーク便り＞『故郷』を訪ねて」を投稿した。また、スリランカのムスリム政党に関する書籍について『イスラーム世界研究』に書評を投稿した。
