项目摘要

本研究は、初期フンボルトの政治理論を再構成し、その教育理論上の意義を明らかにすることを目的としている。本年度は、第一に、初期のフンボルトの代表的著作『国家活動の限界』において「市民」の陶冶・教育がいかなる位置付けを与えられているかに焦点を当て、テキスト分析を実施した。その結果、国家活動の最小化を志向するフンボルトの政治理論が、つとに指摘されるように非政治的な資質に基づくものではなく、政治的な確信によって裏付けられたものであること、および、フンボルトの政治理論の核心が、市民的な美徳の涵養を実現する方途を示すことにあることが明らかにされた。また、『国家活動の限界』が執筆された1792年の前後10年程度の間に執筆された断片的な論考群を分析対象とし、政治理論の背景を構成するフンボルトの人間形成論が、道徳哲学的にいかなる基礎づけを与えられているかを検討した。フンボルトの教育理論の鍵概念とされる人間形成（Bildung）の概念が、善き生に関する社会的な見解に基づいていること、および、人間形成の規範的・道徳的な基盤が、人間本性に求められていることを、「人間形成の理論」「宗教について」等の初期の論考群の検討によって明らかにした。本年度は、以上の研究成果を国際ワークショップ等で報告した。また、以上の研究成果に基づいた学術論文を、来年度に国内外の査読つきの学術雑誌に投稿を行う予定である。
