项目摘要

We studied the histopathology of both the primary eudothelial dystrophic (Fuchs' endothelial dystrophy) and the secondary induced bullous keratopathy conreas. Au additional layer was seen between the epithelium and Bowman's layer by the light microscopy. Examination of electron microscopy showed thickened basement membrane and fibrous tissue, and sometimes multiplication of the basement membrane in the extra layer in some specimens. There is no difference between the Fuchs' dystrophic corneas and surgically induced bullous keratopathy corneas. The subepithelial tissue of bullous keratopathy corneas may be formed by epithelium and stromal cells that have migrated into the subepithelial area of the diseased corneas. This morphological abnormality in the BK corneas may induce the detachment of the epithelium and form the bullac. beta ig-h3 is supposed to contribute to the adhesion of the epithelium and the Bowman's layer, and the disfunction of the protein causes the epithelial disturbance. To search for the clinical application of the novel protein, beta ig-h3, This study focused on the pathology of the bullous keratopathy corneas which is the most common conical epithelial disorder.
