项目摘要

本研究の目的は、大学生の英語学習者が抱く英語母語話者規範の実態を把握し、EILの概念を導入した英語教育が大学生の英語母語話者規範に与える影響を明らかにしようとするものである。まず，昨年度より取り組んでいるアンケート調査で得たデータの定量分析に継続して取り組んだ。特に個人差を加味した分析についてさらなる分析を行った。インタビュー調査より得たデータについては，整理し，分析に取り組めるよう準備した。アンケート調査だけでは明らかにすることのできない母語話者規範の変化や授業実践の効果について詳細に検討する。さらに，大学生が捉える母語話者とはどのような人か，EILの概念を導入した英語教育実践についてどのように捉えているのかが明らかになる。2022年度は異なる分野（国際関係）で英語を導入して専門科目を教えている研究者と協同する機会を得た。英語学習者が抱く英語母語話者規範の問題は，英語教育の分野にとどまるものではなく，異なる専門分野での取り組みについて貴重な意見・情報を得ることができた。「英語で教える国際関係」についてAsia Pacific Conferenceにて参加・発表した。最後に，コロナ禍が落ち着いてきたことでAmerican Association for Applied Linguisticsに現地にて参加することができた。そこで，世界の高等教育における英語を媒介とする授業の広がりを改めて感じるとともに英語母語話者規範を問い直すこと，それに関する研究を行うことの重要性を実感した。EILの概念を導入した英語教育の取り組みと研究は、今日的課題に重要な関連性を有する研究であり、今後はさらに詳細な分析を行う。
