项目摘要

平成26年度の4月から9月にかけて、発展途上国における違法な模倣の取締り活動が経済に与える影響について分析を行なった。具体的には、中国における違法な模倣活動がどこに集中しているか、また模倣被害を受けた日本企業の割合についてデータを調べた。また、発展途上国における違法な模倣の摘発活動が先進国・途上国双方の経済厚生に与える影響はどのようなものであるか、シミュレーションで分析した。その結果、先進国が途上国に対して違法な模倣の摘発活動を強化するよう圧力をかけることは両国の経済厚生を下げてしまう可能性があるという結論が得られた。現実でも中国では日本企業の知的財産権を侵害する商品が流通しているが、それらを取り締まる活動が必ずしも日本にとって良いものではないという政策的インプリケーションに繋がる。なお本研究は海外査読付き雑誌であるJournal of Economicsに掲載された。また10月から3月にかけては、先進国から発展途上国への海外直接投資を促進する政策が途上国のイノベーションに与える影響を理論的に分析した。この研究は博士論文の1つの章として執筆した研究を全面的に改良し、より単純かつ示唆に富むモデルとして再構築したものである。その結果、海外直接投資を促進する途上国の政策は、短期的には途上国のイノベーションを阻害するが、長期的には促進する可能性があることが明らかになった。国内の企業活動の減退を恐れて規制を強める途上国の政策が長期的には利益にならない可能性を示した点で貢献がある。本研究は日本経済学会およびフランスでの南ヨーロッパ理論経済学会にて報告を行なった。
