好白蟻性ハネカクシの分類学的再検討および特殊形態の進化

项目摘要

カンボジアおよびマレーシアより、16種を新種記載した。カンボジアから記載したDiscoxenus属8種に関しては、同一寄主をもち同所的に生息しているものが含まれる。これより、好白蟻性種の局所的な種多様性の高さが示された。また、Longipeditermes属シロアリを寄主とするハネカクシのうち、腹部が大きく肥大した形態的特徴を持つ種は、これまでマレーシアより2属5種が知られていたが、マレー半島とボルネオ島から得られた標本を比較すると、ボルネオ島から得られた各種の標本は全て未記載種であった。他の比較的広い分布域を持つ好白蟻性種についても、再検討が必要であると考えられる。系統学的研究では、ヒゲブトハネカクシ亜科内の好白蟻性ハネカクシ8族27属32種とその他の10族25属29種を対象に分子系統解析を行った。解析の結果、Lomechusini族に属するTermitozyrina亜族が3つのクレードに分割して復元され、一部は好白蟻性Termitopaediini族に含まれることが分かった。また、好白蟻性Corotocini族およびTermitonannini族が自由生活性Oxypodini族と単系統群を形成することや好白蟻性Termitohospitini族が自由生活性Myllaenini族に含まれることが判明した。これらの結果は、ヒゲブトハネカクシ亜科の現在の分類体系が、好白蟻性種の特殊な形態を過大評価していることを示唆する。本亜科の分類体系については、口器や交尾器の微小な形態形質の評価にもとづく大幅な再検討が必要である。また本研究により、ヒゲブトハネカクシ亜科内において好白蟻性という性質が独立に多数回進化していることや、腹部肥大型・カブトガニ型という好白蟻性種に特徴的な形態が収斂進化していることが示された。

The classification system of this family is necessary for the evaluation of the morphological characteristics of the micro-organs and mating organs. In this study, the morphological characteristics of termite species evolved independently from those of other species.
