项目摘要
The objective of the Support for Toxicological Data contract is for Contractor to provide staff with the ability to apply sound scientific and toxicological principles and an intimate knowledge of NTP toxicological study designs to support the acquisition of data from NTP toxicological studies, the integration of the data across studies and toxicological domains, and the presentation of the data in a meaningful format for use in decision-making by NTP scientists, other government agencies and the public at large.
The National Toxicology Program (NTP) is an interagency program headquartered at NIEHS and was established by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to provide information about potentially toxic chemicals to regulatory and research agencies and the public, coordinate toxicology research and testing activities and strengthen the science base in toxicology.
The Contract supports the data management processes that house NTP data in a secure way compatible with FAIR standards, meaning that the data are Findable, Available, Interpretable and Reusable. The data are stored in an Oracle database and then formatted for reporting by the NTP. Metadata (data about the data) are captured in Oracle and shared. The Contract also supports user access to these data for cross-study queries and other investigations. Contract supports the design, development and delivery of tools to access and query data. Contractor adheres to security policy of the government and ensures that predecisional data are secure and available only to authorized users. NTP uses a LIMS system, NTP Provantis, to collect data and Contract provides scientific advice to NTP and contract staff about using NTP Provantis in alignment with NTP Expectations.
