Set up in 2019, Sustainable Packaging Products Ltd is a leading UK based company in the development and production of sustainable packaging materials.SPP Ltd has previously worked on various projects including barrier papers for corrugate and laminated packaging materials and have a team of experienced and capable members to successfully deliver this _Industrial Research_ project.This 12-month project will see the development of a fully recyclable, biodegradable paper-based packaging solution as an alternative to single-use plastic items for frozen food packaging.Up to 50% of the 380 million tonnes of plastic that is produced each year, is for single use. This project will contribute to the reduction in single-use plastics, eliminating the need for any plastic in frozen food pouch and bag packaging. These outputs will align with current Government strategies such as England's Resources and Waste Strategy and the UK's Extended Producer Responsibility.No other company in the UK is offering the packaging solutions that will be developed in this project. If successful, our products have the ability to shape the packaging industry throughout the world, addressing the environmental crisis head-on.
