Notts.com is a new platform which will benefit arts organisations in Nottinghamshire by promoting their events to the public. This will start with an existing audience of 40,000+ monthly leftlion.co.uk visitors and more through partner websites. However, we also intend notts.com to grow outside of the scope of these and become a stand-alone platform.Our system will be simple to use and contain innovative ways for organisations to consume content using an API to allow sharing of event information across other platforms, websites and social media from a single source.When entering an event into our system it will be listed in other websites it is fed to. Our feeds can populate websites for individual venues, bigger entertainment companies with groups of venues and geographically-specific organisations (tourism boards, business improvement districts, destination management organisations, local newspapers etc).This single source approach also means information is easy to amend when necessary, which will save a lot of time and labour. If a support act changes on a gig, or a theatre show becomes sold you edit the single source and it's amended on all affiliate websites automatically.
