Despite advances in healthcare, tens of millions of people in the UK suffer from at least one overwhelming health condition, and the NHS (2022) expects two-thirds of people over 65 to have two chronic diseases by 2035.The chronic illness crisis is set to worsen; indeed, poor health is becoming the norm - only 17% of adults have optimal metabolic health (NHS, 2020). The situation is direr amongst lower income groups who are much more likely to suffer chronic ill-health and die prematurely (UK Department of Health, 2021).There is an urgent need to utilise digital health interventions to help shift the focus from treating symptoms and condition management to prevention and health creation. Doing so could save the NHS billions of pounds each year.To meet this need, OptimallyMe is developing a unique eHealth solution using advanced AI and digital innovations to help empower millions of people across the UK to better manage their own health. Its evidence-based, personalised recommendations set it apart from competitors in the market, as does its intense focus on user engagement to help enable long term positive behavioural change.
