This project will test the potential clinical advantage in using compression stockings that use computer controlled 3-D scanning, design and knitting. The stockings are expected to be more comfortable to wear, better tolerated by patients and potentially may be an attractive alternative to manual bandaging used to treat leg ulcers.The compression stockings are manufactured by Advanced Therapeutic Materials Ltd and the clinical assessment is being managed by the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre.
