Structures manufactured from composite materials, via their light weight, offer benefits such as CO2 reduction in road transport but when at their lightest can be prone to damage. This project seeks to prove the feasibility of a novel form of internal reinforcement for composite structures. This technology will allow parts to be less susceptible to damage, lighter and lower in cost than is presently possible.
