英文摘要
Following the successful completion of a SMART Proof of Market project into the marketopportunity of real-time fuel property data capture and information provision with regard toaircraft refuelling this project builds on this to provide a technical feasibility demonstration ofthe proposed system in a real operational environment. The development of a cloud-basedsystem for capturing and communicating detailed fuel property and uplift data at point ofdelivery as well as removing the manual elements of the refuelling process by utilising thesame infrastructure to enable significant enhancements in the aircraft dispatch process.By improving the analysis of captured data we will enhance the Airline operators ability tocomply with environmental reporting requirements (ETS) within Europe through accurateemissions data that are based on actual fuel properties and consumption information on a perflight basis. There is increasing focus on the aviation industry to provide greater transparencyon the impact it has on the environment and we believe our system will provide a future proofsystem that can also incorporate the expected changes in the aviation industry that are likelyto include the increasing use of alternative fuels, continuing increase of aviation fuel pricesand changing emissions legislation which will be monitored in the future on a global basis.Through the increasing use of the internet the world has become more open, people are nowexploring and have the desire to travel more than ever before and this is a trend that is likelyto continue as the global population grows and with it the increasing demand for access totransportation. It is important that travel by aviation remains both accessible and affordable toas many people as possible, we believe the development of our system will optimise operatorefficiency, help contain operating costs and in the longer term ensure global travel throughaerospace remains accessible to the majority.
