This project aims to acquire an advanced mechanical testing facility for small-sized structural materials in the temperature range from -100°C to +350 °C. This state-of-the-art instrument for mechanical testing of advanced materials at a wide temperature range and dynamic conditions will develop Australia’s research infrastructure for solving real-world problems. The facility will significantly broaden our capability in materials research and provide critical insights for engineering materials design with applications in infrastructures, aerospace, transportation, and medical devices. This will provide economic benefits to Australian industries, contribute significantly to the advancement of scientific knowledge in Australia and further enhance research collaborations.
