Hereditary properties of graphs play the central role in Structural Graph Theory. Graph parameters are important in Algorithmic Graph Theory to study parameterized complexity of algorithms. However, the relationship between the two areas is not very well understood. Revealing hidden connections between them is the aim of this research. It falls within the EPSRC research area "Logic and Combinatorics".
