The aim of this project is to explore a Hegelian ethics in response to Adorno's lecture series Problems of Moral Philosophy, especially with respect to Adorno's claim that moral philosophy may be impossible today. Adorno's text is pursued primarily with a focus on Kant's ethics, however the proposed project seeks to place emphasis on the implications for Adorno's claim when he begins to bring in a critique of Hegelian ethics towards the end of the text, especially by re-evaluating Hegel's notion of ethical life in light of Adorno's claim in both its early and mature versions.
