The project is aiming to push the scalability of the perovskite solar cells using concentrating optics. Perovskite solar cells are struggling with stability and reliable scalable technology to bring it to manufacturability. The perovskite solar cells will be developed through 3D printing methods. The 3D printing of the perovskite will be using modified 3D printers, ink formulation according to the nature of the nozzle and improving the quality of the printing. The first part of the work involves to develop a general algorithm of making perovskite inks with high crystalline nature for solar cells preparation. The inks will be used for the direct ink writing techniques-based perovskite solar cell manufacturing, which can be, adoptable by industries. The second part of the work is to design a nozzle which is suitable for the 3D direct ink writing of perovskite solar cells and their fluid dynamics for smooth ink dispensing and uniform coating of the TiO2 layers, carbon layers and perovskite layers. The last part of the work will focus on the design of the concentrated photovoltaics device manufacturing using 3D direct ink writing method. The project will focus on the development of 3D Direct Ink Writing techniques and associated design for perovskite solar cells preparation which involves electrical, mechanical and fluid dynamics works.
