This PhD will explore and respond to problems of artistic form and sociological determinacy in the aftermath of Institutional Critique. Undertaking both social anthropological and Adornian analyses of prevailing interpretations of InstitutionalCritique, this project will pursue an alternative mode of critically-generative practice, grounding its development in reflection on the commodity form.
