This project will explore the influence of the online Satanic Cult Conspiracy movement, analysing the various ways in which followers utilise social media. Believing the coronavirus epidemic to be a hoax organised by a Satanic elite, 2020 saw SCC believer publicly unite on a worldwide scale for the first time. This project will determine the ways in, and purpose for which, modern SCC intertwines conspiracy believes with politics and religion, and utilises social media to propagate successfully a continuing public susceptibility towards scientific misinformation, religious discrimination and potentially harmful political ideologies.
