This PhD project will explore mathematical concepts from quantum metrology and complexity theory to design novel quantum protocols, which are particularly suitable for operating silicon NISQ devices with potential quantum advantage. Special emphasis shall be given to exploring:(i) Metrology protocols which hold the promise of quantum advantage on small scale devices and(ii) The complexity class of constant with circuits and its relation to realizing parallel quantum computations with quantum advantage
