In this project we will use the Lake District red deer population case study to develop a model for stakeholder engagement with the purpose of gaining consensus among stakeholders regarding the landscape-scale management of a renewable natural resource. We will:1. Define the source of the problem - the red deer population and the stakeholder community.2. Describe the nature of the problem - the balance of costs and benefits among the stakeholder community.3. Identify the information needed to effectively manage the problem.4. Produce a framework for consensus-building.5. Implement the framework with the intention of achieving consensus among stakeholders.
