英文摘要
What is the difference between the experiences we have when we perceive, have imagery, and have other sensory states? I will show why extant theories, which cite features like vividness and presence, are inadequate. I will develop a new account that, unlike others, takes heed of sensory disorders and experiences at the extremes, such as de-realised perception, hallucinations, and dreams. A core focus will be imagery that is either 'blind' or as vivid as perception. I will work with the Eye's Mind team, who specialize in this area, to fully understand these conditions and give insight to those who have them.
