英文摘要
developing a new technology will require applying for a patent and, most importantly, ensuring that it is not infringing other patents. I believe that this industry experience demonstrates my strong research, engineering, and investigation skills, which will be useful during my PhD. While I enjoyed my year in industry, it also made me realise I wanted to do more research and, as before, keep Biology as part of my career, which is why I am applying for this PhD.Lastly, the final aim of the PhD project would be to produce a device that could be certified and marketed to help as many patients as possible. This requires knowledge of international standards and regulations such that the design does not need major revisions when it reaches the certification stage. I am familiar with this because of the internship at TTP, my final year project and my current part-time Regulatory Affairs internship for Respire Diagnostics and believe that this insight will be valuable at each stage of the design process
