This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this research study is to determine if supplemental choline consumption has an effect on a pregnant woman by: 1) increasing the level of choline in the woman's blood; 2) increasing the level of choline in the woman's breast milk; 3) enhancing memory performance in her baby; 4) inproving her cognitive performance during pregnancy and lactation.
