To reform a randomized clinical trial of a wedged insole in patients with medial knee osteoarthititis to determine whether the use of these insoles alleviates pain. The overall objective of this project is to determine whether the provision of valgus insoles in patients with medical knee osteoarthritis relieves knee pain. The specific aims are to undertake a 16 week randomized crossover clinical trial in patients with medial knee osteoarthritis to determine whether provision of valgus wedge insert into the shoe leads to lower pain scores during the time this treatment is used rather than during the use of a neutral insert made of the same material.
