The Second Multicenter Hemophilia Cohort Study aims to evaluate and prospectively follow 4500 persons with hemophilia exposed to hepatitis C; about 1/3 will also be HIV-infected. Primary objectives are to quantify rates of liver decompensation, hepatocellular carcinoma and NH lymphoma and to evaluate candidate clinical, genetic, neurologic, serologic and immunologic markers on the causal pathway for these conditions.
