This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The Second Multicenter Hemophilia Cohort Study aims to evaluate and prospectively follow 4500 persons with hemophilia exposed to hepatitis C; about 1/3 will also be HIV-infected. Primary objectives are to quantify rates of liver decompensation, hepatocellular carcinoma and NH lymphoma and to evaluate candidate clinical, genetic, neurologic, serologic and immunologic markers on the causal pathway for these conditions.
