This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The Bioinformatics Core of the Center will provide consultation in the areas of study coordination, database development, data management, and biostatistics for the 5 research projects. The Core is organized to provide timely, efficient, comprehensive biostatistical support to project investigators and to integrate biostatistical efforts across the research projects. AIMS 1. Review and provide input into the design of the research studies conducted as part of the Center. 2. Provide assistance to project investigators in planning, conducting and analyzing research experiments and collaborate in the design and implementation of single and multi-project research studies. 3. Develop novel data management and data mining tools for sharing data between projects and methods for linking and comparing empirical data with simulation results generated under the modeling effort.
