This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The commissioning of Beam Line 7-1, a side station dedicated for macromolecular crystallography was completed and the general user program commenced. The beam line optics was completely reworked and a new hutch implemented. The in-hutch equipment was upgraded to the standard configuration with robotic sample mounter, large-area CCD detector and angular motion of the instrument carriage to allow for limited-range MAD on the side station. Blu-Ice was implemented as control and data acquisition software.
