英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The long-term goal of the proposed research is to understand the structural biology and function of PYK2 in the integrin signaling during osteoclast activation, explore the relationship among its structure, function and dynamics, and exploit this relation for specific inhibition of PYK2 required for osteolysis. Towards this goal, we have initiated a collaborative research effort to study the three-dimensional structure of PYK2 by X-ray crystallography and the molecular recognition of the associated proteins by PYK2.
