英文摘要
The project aims to describe the progression or resolution of chronic suppurative otitis media in affected children over a two and a half year period. This project will be conducted in combination with current best medical practice, training for local ear health workers and a series of randomised controlled trials. The trials will evaluate the effectiveness of topical ciprofloxacin antibiotic therapy, and the role of topical antibiotics at the onset of disease and in children who have failed to respond to previous treatment regimes.
