项目摘要

CHART: ADMINISTRATIVE CORE – SUMMARY The Climate & Health Actionable Research and Translation (CHART) Center aims to generate knowledge about the health risks related to climate change and translate it into action through partnerships to enhance health. The Administrative Core (Admin Core) provides leadership, organization, and identity for the CHART Center. It regularly assesses the Center's progress and implements necessary changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and leverages resources to respond to diverse and evolving needs of the Center's research, community engagement, and capacity building activities. The CHART Center structure supports its vision to advance and translate research on the health impact of climate change-related risk factors to improve health in vulnerable urban populations. The Director, Deputy Director, Evaluator, and Administrator oversee and coordinate Center activities with guidance from various committees. The Admin Core coordinates and integrates the work of other CHART Cores and the Research Project. It communicates Center events, research, and resources to the wider community. The Admin Core will effectively manage Center resources and maximize success across Center Cores and Research Project. It will actively engage with a diverse set of partners and work with the Community Engagement Core to coordinate the interaction of community partners with other Center Cores. It will support the Research Capacity Building Core to provide training and mentoring in CCH research, resources, and methods to Center investigators, research partners, and interested community members, encourage research collaboration in the Southeastern US and beyond, and support the development of new partnerships through pilot grants. The Admin Core will provide leadership through inspiring vision, scientific oversight, coordination, fiscal management, resource allocation, and critical evaluation of activities. It leads CHART towards its goal of developing an innovative research theme and a dynamic research environment that advances the community of practice towards the long-term success and lasting impact of CHART as a NIH CCH research center.
