Objectives The objective of Core D is to provide a centralized administrative infrastructure, based at HIM-NAT, to support each of the projects that comprise this multi-project CIPRA program. This is summarized in the project linkage grid. The program steering committee of the administrative core, with Thai and Cambodian representation, will be responsible for the governance of the program and communications between projects and other cores. Specific aims 1. to establish a program steering committee, to oversee all the projects 2. to establish an independent international advisory board 3. to ensure quality management practices are implemented in the projects and cores of this program 4. to review and maintain the scientific and administrative progress of the program 5. to provide regular reports on the acquittal of funds for the projects and cores of the CIPRA grant 6. to implement effective lines of communication between project and core components of the program 7. to employ the core leader as project administrator in Thailand 8. to provide English, Thai and Khmer translation services for protocols, informed consent forms and other patientrelated information for all projects Methods An advisory board will be chaired by Professor Praphan Phanuphak. A program steering committee will oversee day to day running of the projects and cares. Project working groups, core working groups and a community advisory board will be established, reporting to the steering committee. The Core Leader will be responsible for the overall administration of the project, supported by the HIM-NAT business manager and other administrative personnel. A program coordinator, secretary and financial assistant will be employed in Thailand. A program coordinator and an administrative assistant will be employed in Cambodia. A financial assistant, to work under the supervision of the existing HIM-NAT business manager, Kesdao Nanthapisal, will be responsible for the management and acquittal of all CIPRA funds. Additional computer equipment and furniture will be purchased to support the increased activity generated by these projects.
