To synchronously measure body movements, postures, and energy expenditure associated with different physical activities in adolescents. 2. To develop advanced modeling approaches to transform body accelerations and postures to predict activity-associated energy expenditure. 3. To validate the energy expenditure predictive models in free-living adolescents. 4. To define the role of physical activity in energy balance and obesity in adolescents.
