项目摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the
resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and
investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,
and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is
for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.
This is a longitudinal follow-up study designed to evaluate the medical and neurodevelopmental outcome of newborns treated with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, inhaled nitric oxide and high frequency ventilation for persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn. In addition, the enrollment has been expanded to longitudinally follow a group of infants treated for hypoplastic left heart syndrome with heart transplantation and preterm infants treated with inhaled nitric oxide.
We have nearly completed the school age follow up for our neonatal acute respiratory failure group and are analyzing data for a publication within the next year.
