英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The objective of this study is to develop a new rehabilitation technique to improve recovery from hemiparesis following stroke. Advances in neuroscience have shown that some of the paralysis following stroke stems from neurons that are still viable but dormant. The challenge is to discover methods that can safely and effectively lead to such changes.
