英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. SPECIFIC AIMS Primary Objective: To assess the safety and tolerability, and effect on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers related to oxidative damage, of two antioxidant treatment regimens in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Secondary Objective(s): To assess whether concentrations of beta-amyloid-42 and beta-amyloid-40 in plasma and CSF change after administration of antioxidants in patients with mild to moderate AD.
