This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The SAXS web site has been updated to reflect recent progress in the SMB SAXS instrument developments. The ¿FLASH¿ feature, which was required for viewing the web page, has been removed in order to make the web pages compatible with all web browsers in all settings. The new site contains introductory materials about the SAXS/D experimental techniques, description of the instrumentation currently available to users, new instrumental developments, software for data acquisition and analyses, staff contact information as well as an updated list of user/staff publications that have been reported to SSRL. A number of new pictures and diagrams were added to give the user a preview of the BL4-2 SAXS/D station and equipment before their arrival at SSRL. For instance, there is a diagram to clearly show the resolution range covered by each instrument configuration, as well as what is covered by the USAXS setup. There are also links to relevant SSRL web pages such as SPEAR3 status, beam time schedule, proposal submittal information as well as links to other synchrotron facilities. The publication page also has links to SAXS/D SSRL highlight articles. Some of the software that has been recently developed by us can be downloaded at our web page. In addition to the updated content, the new web site has more visually pleasing and professional appearance.
