英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Jack Rogers at the UAB has contributed to the continuing developments and parallelization of collocation finite element methods for 3D action potential propagation and is using them for investigations of the mechanisms of ventricular fibrillation in combination with experimental studies in pigs. And Rick Gray has assisted UCSD investigators in the development of optical mapping techniques for experimental validation of propagation models, and NBCR sent detailed 3D anatomic models of ventricular geometry and fiber architecture to UAB for use in models of reentrant propagation.
