This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The purpose of this study is to perform an independent validation study of a commercially available automatic blood pressure (BP) device, the HEM-780REL with Easy Wrap Cuff. Like many automatic devices commercially available for people to perform self blood pressure measurements, this device has not been independently validated. A standard protocol for performing validation studies of blood pressure devices has been published and will be used to perform this validation study.
