The overall goal of this pilot study is to determine the effects of two ramipril based antihypertensive regimen strategies; each designed to lower nocturnal BP: Specific Aim 1 Determine the effects of each strategy, relative to usual treatment, on nocturnal BP. Specific Aim 2 Determine the effects of each strategy, relative to usual treatment, on clinic BP, daytime BP, 24 hour BP, and dipping status.
