This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The protocol hopes to demonstrate two things with this study: first, that sensitivity (and to some extent, specificity) of a novel MRI data analysis method to the changes in brain function associated with depression and secondly, to provide insights regarding variability as a critical characteristic of regional function deficits.
