The major discovery this year are as follows. 1. Assessed the safety and efficacy L9LS is several Phase 2 clinical trials in Mali and Kenya in infants, young children and adults. 2. Demonstrated that affinity and cytolytic activity are the two major in vitro characteristics that predict in vivo protection by a monoclonal antibody against PfCSP 3. Demonstrated the role of Fc effector function for mediating protection in vivo by monoclonal antibodies against PfCSP 4.
